Moodle is a virtual teaching and learning environment based on constructionist
pedagogy principles, free distributed under Open Source license.
Moodle has more than 9.500 registered installations in almost 150
different countries. They are used in the context of continuous training
as well as in Primary and Secondary education , the same as at Universities.
The goal of MoodleMoot is to serve as meeting and exchange point of
experiences from all Moodle users.
During MoodleMoot’06 the main changes that affect the Moodle
context will be analysed. Streamlines include:
- Different experiences in the use of Moodle in
different formation environments.
- The influence of alternative systems for content
creation and the consequences of the introduction of new standards
(IMS-Learning Design) in the future development of Moodle and the
quality virtual teaching.
- Development of new utilities to be incorporated
in Moodle.

and themes related to the objectives of the conference some practical
workshops will take place:
o DFWiki as a base platform for a collaborative
system of content creation
o Collaborative work in networks: A methodological
strategy
o Standards and Quality: a challenge in the design
and development of contents in digital format
o ICT as tools in the configuration of the Higher
Education European Space
