The purpose of this research is to present a project of automatic labeling for learning objects. Focusing on the importance of labeling materials to promote their reusability, we have analyzed the problems we have encountered to add metadata to digital resources. We have also carried out a study of alternatives to manual labeling and of the advantages of adding correct metadata to our resources. As a practical application, we have developed some ideas about what an automatic labeling system would be like. We aim to give guidance about how to set up an autonomous system for the collection, labeling and organization of learning objects.
