This research was conducted with twenty-four teachers from the University of Montemorelos. The exploratory study identified the search strategies of open educational resources and implementation processes in learning environments. There is an urgent need to promote the use of OER in the classroom as well as a paradigm shift in educational practice. Their use generates most meaningful students learning and substantially enhances the teaching-learning process.
