Abstract

The study of academic plagiarism has become a hot topic in academic literature. This paper presents data from a survey -based on the administration of a questionnaire to a representative sample of students enrolled in secondary education- focusing on: a) analyze the prevalence of cyberplagiarism among this group and b) examine the association between prevalence in the commission of cyberplagiarism and academic qualifications. The results suggest an inverse relationship between the two variables, that is: to higher grades of the students lower prevalence of the phenomenon of cyberplagiarism and, conversely, most prevalent in poorer grades.
