This article presents an experience carried out with student teachers at the faculty of Education. It is based on online teamwork using web 2.0 tools and Twitter. The main aim was to promote motivation and participation, allowing students to perform an active role in their learning process. Results show a positive judgement of the activity by the students, and that the aims were achieved as well. We conclude that the use of those tools let students discover new ways of working and learning.
