Abstract

This current work describes the design and development of a procedure where mobile phone technology is used within a cooperative environment for primary school, in order to improve the level of student's transversal skills. The methodology used is design-based research (DBR), which we have developed in three phases: 1) Analysis of literature; 2) Design, validation and review of the prototype, and 3) Identification of the principles of design and the development of an assessment proposal. The results indicate to us that the learning model used attracts students and this can provide big benefits. Nevertheless, to maximise its full potential, we must take some factors into consideration.

Graduado en Educación Primaria por la Universitat Rovira i Virgili (Tarragona) y habiendo cursado el Máster Interuniversitario de Tecnología Educativa: e-learning y Gestión del Conocimiento, centra su investigación en el estudio de la tecnología móvil y el aprendizaje cooperativo.

Francesc Marc Esteve-Mon, Universitat Jaume I

Profesor en el Departamento de Educación de la Universitat Jaume I (Castelló de la Plana). Imparte su docencia en los estudios de magisterio, principalmente en las áreas de Didáctica y Organización Escolar, y Nuevas Tecnologías aplicadas a la Educación. Es doctor internacional en Tecnología Educativa, y miembro del grupo de investigación Applied Research Group in Education and Technology (ARGET). Centra su investigación en el análisis de la competencia digital, la formación inicial docente y en el estudio de la metodología de investigación basada en el diseño (design-based research). Visiting Scholar en la Universidad de Leiden (2014), ha trabajado anteriormente como investigador y docente en la Universitat Rovira i Virgili, y en la Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. Es autor de diferentes publicaciones relacionadas con el uso de las TIC en los procesos de enseñanza-aprendizaje y revisor de diferentes revistas internacionales.
