In this article a case study is presented with basic primary school students in four different contexts, in Colombian and Mexican cities, in order to analyze the effect of the e‐learning model as an educational innovation in the field of language. Starting from the question: How to develop critical thinking in the field of language training and communication in primary school students through the use of ICT? The starting point was the strategy of evidence‐based educational innovation to the method of case study research. The instruments used were interviews and surveys, to investigate the impact of the use of blogs in the development of critical thinking in the students.
