Abstract

Specific means of expression (books, videos, movies...) offer the same message for all, leaving the reader or viewer only as a receiver, detached emotionally and cognitively from the provided information.

When analyzing the pedagogical value of these tools, the relationship between user and environment is not ideal to promote active knowledge acquisition, the subsequent recall or to effectively build cognitive and emotional skills.
This article highlights how interactive fiction can enhance learning conditions to place learners at the center of the educational experience, giving them freedom to explore and also the responsibility to decide the course and consequences of the narrative, seeking with this process to strengthen links between users and learning.
