Abstract

The objective of this project was to validate the CUTIC questionnaire designed to measures the frequency and scope of use of ICT with Internet connection as well as the utility they have, and the emotion generated by their use or not use among university students. The sample consisted of 178 students (87.6% female) attending the 1st degree of Social Work Faculty at the Complutense University of Madrid during the academic year 2016-2017. The initial questionnaire of 48 items was reduced to the 28 items that showed better psychometric properties. Subsequently, the adequacy of the data to the theoretical model was evaluated using factorial techniques, and it was concluded that CUTIC-28 is a valid and reliable tool to know the frequency for the use of technology.
