On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the association, the EDUTEC magazine proposes a special issue that provides an opportunity to analyse the evolution of this quarter of a century in relation to educational technology, allowing us to highlight the advances in the field of knowledge, as well as to project the most important emerging issues and challenges into the future. We are thinking of a special issue that vindicates the most relevant contributions and redirects research towards the real challenges, both in the non-formal and formal educational spheres; a special issue that also gives value to the need to plan the use of educational technology and to refine the conceptualisation of technology itself as a means and not as an end.
