Video as a digital educational resource that strengthens virtual learning

The spread of the COVID 19 virus forced teachers and students of all educational levels all over the planet to shift from a traditional face-to-face system to a completely virtual system; generating the use and application of multiple digital didactic resources as support to fulfill the expected learning. The intention of this academic experience is to describe the process of making and implementing the video as a digital teaching resource that encourages active student learning and reduces the failure rate in a face-to-face course shifted to virtual mode. A methodology of systematization action, where the teacher and the student are the main protagonists of the process is pursued. Different techniques were used, such as observation, diagnosis, documentary research, interviews, and training workshops. The outcomes have a positive impact, considerably decreasing the failure rate and promoting active learning in students.
