Nas últimas décadas foram apontadas algumas deficiências no ensino das disciplinas científicas. Críticas foram feitas sobre aulas de conteúdos muito abstratos que não estimulam a participação, ointeresse e, conseqüentemente, a aprendizagem significativa dos alunos, mesmo com extraordinários recursos que a tecnologia disponibiliza ao processo educacional. Há, portanto, necessidade de melhorconhecer e discutir a utilização das diferentes ferramentas tecnológicas, a fim de favorecer a qualidade do ensino. Nesta pesquisa, verificou-se o impacto da utilização do software GBOL no processo de ensino de tópicos específicos de Genética em alunos do Ensino Médio, com foco na melhoria de nível de aprendizagem, motivação e interesse dos alunos. Os dados foram coletados em pré e pós-testes durante a realização de mini-curso.
Abstract
Some deficiencies have been indicated in the teaching of scientific subjects in the last decades. Classes have been reviewed for not stimulating the students' participation, interests, and consequently, significative learning despite extraordinary resources due to technologic availability in the education process. Thus, it is very important to have more information to discuss about the usage of different technologic tools in order to support the quality in the teaching. This research verified the GBOL software utilization impact in the teaching of specific topics in Genetics with high school students, in the perspective of improving the students' learning level, motivation, and interest. The data were collected through pre and post exams during the presentation of a workshop.
