Abstract:
The use of technical and audio-visual methods is broadly extended in Psychology. And, the use of television through video filming ("mirror") has been present in all the research related to the intentional, programmed change of certain behaviours and the acceptance and management of the subject's own image. This fact has proved to be extremely relevant since the physical image stands as the basic support for self-conception.
This research has been carried out into two main paths, both within the theoretical background of Social Psychology (Education, Communication and Group Dynamics): a) Formation and b) Research. Our main objectives and methodological procedures are also shown here.
In the final analysis, it may be asserted that "autoscopy" as a working method demands and, at the same time, arouses the individualls (or group of individuals') attention, and, so, it becomes a suitable instrument for self-formation and investigation.

Abstract
Troughout a world-wide digitalisation of data there will proceed a melting of tools used in the domain of television, computer and telecommunication. Thereby during an evolutional process digital data tecnique will replace analogue television.
Educational applications as already performed on the Internet or in proyects on interactive television in the United States will also though innovate network overtake an important part of this. Therewith there is great danger that education will be commercialised because innovative forms of advertising are probably able to canalise the funds (money demand) needed for the developemnt and configuration of new media.
Digital education offers will cover a wide spectrum between mass and personal communication. Through this not only the classic educational establishments will submit an offer but also huge joint ventures of enterprises and information providers will penetrate the educational domain because for them it represents a potential market. Thus Pedagogics will have to treat the new technique with a kind of "media education" that has to begin at primary school.

Abstract:
In a traditional way, the video is being extensively used in different fields like entertainment and education, but its use in multimedia documents promises a suitable framework thanks the digital format, that offer news possibilities of navigation. The main problems were the huge amount of information to store and the hardware limitations for real-time visualization; nowadays these are being overcome by new video compression and decompression techniques. At this moment, the mainly problem resides in the difficulty to classify, store and retrieve video sequences based on content criteria when they deal with large video databases.
In this article we present the implementation of a system for video storing, indexing and content-based retrieval for remote educational purposes, called Educational Video On Line. The system is being developed for multiplatform, and distributed environment.
