In this paper we present the final results of a study that aims to develop students' personal learning environment (PLE), as well as to positively influence in their learning. For this purpose, a methodological strategy for integrating formal and informal learning environments was incorporated. Participants in this study were students of the Degree in Education at the University of the Balearic Islands (Spain). We evaluated the results through a final questionnaire and interviews to students, as well as through the analysis of the PLE maps produced by them. The results are oriented towards a positive assessment of the strategy and the incipient growth of the students' PLE.
