A Personal Learning Environment is a theoretical model which explains the strategies and the digital tools used by learners to develop our knowledge in a dynamic way during our lives (long-life learning). This knowledge is built in connected environments thanks to technologies. From this concept of PLE, we have designed a model including four dimensions, a model to be the base of a quantitative instrument to collect information from university students. This instrument is the questionnaire CAPPLE-2 presented in this article. To validate the instrument, we have developed an Exploratory Factorial Analysis and a Confirmatory Factorial Analysis from a data base with 1865 participants. This instrument CAPPLE-2 will be useful to continue with our research in this field and to increase data obtained in our founded project CAPPLE.
