Abstract:
The UNED, because of its special characteristics due to the type of students
and organisation, has had to use an authentic multimedia system from the very start of its activities, as stated in the 85th Article of its Statutes. In this project, innovative experiences in the introduction of new technologies are discussed. These took place both nationwide (Videotex) and in the Associated Centre of Baleares (production of a video, Information program towards the University Student, Computer Aided Education program). Several conclusions are extracted on the advantages of new technologies and their contribution towards a more promising future in open universities.

Abstract:
From the point of view of the educational innovation the integration of the New Tecnologies in the schools is generating great pedagogical expectations. People talk about the need of a new teacher profile.
The essential duties of the teacher must not change. However, it is necessary
for the teacher to experience an adaptation process which will let him adapt
his methodological process to the new context and offer his pupils the most
suitable resources to develop their individual potential.

Abstract:
This paper shows a review of technology applications in education. Under this
wide "denomination" we consider: local (or specific) formation media, uses of
simulation in learning, uses of tutoring systems, uses of expert systems,
interactive video and hypertext-like systems (such is distributed hypermedia).
The emphasis of this paper focuses on the uses of telematics in education.
Embedding instructional processes into distributed applications is a promising technique.

Abstract:
In this document we will try to solve some of the new problems which we have with the new subject denominated " New Technology applied to Education" as a part of the curriculum of teacher qualification.
In the second part of this document we will put forward the contents of this
subject.
In the third part we will concentrate on two points which could be questioned within the list of themes such as The New Technology in the Spanish Law of Education "LOGSE" and the Publicity.

Abstract:
At the dawn of the information era, when the academic global village is taking shape, it is necessary that teacher education should be revisited. In initial teacher education we have to observe the needs emanating from increasing social technification and at the same time we have to take advantage of the effectivity of the new technologies in the learning processes and in the achievement of curricular objectives. Computers can be used in Departments of Education with several purposes, such us facilitating the access to information, leading a tutorial dialogue, producing the simulation of a model of reality. Besides that, computers offer new opportunities to initial teacher education that can not be offered by other resources, as we have researched in this paper. In conclusion, computers must not be understood as a new resource for conventional teaching. Only when it is closely examined in a contextualized dimension can we have an intuition as to how microcomputers will change the lives of teachers and students.

Abstract:
Teacher training in Education Technology should be viewed from an approach
which is based on practice. The purpose of this paper is to reflect on the
integration of new technologies into teaching and on the significance that it
may have for teacher training. This type of training would include the
following aspects: critical use of new technologies, design of experimental
models, implementation of teaching units, expansion into interdisciplinary
activities, and collaboration with educational institutiones and companies.
As for teacher training strategies, it is essential that designs should be
elaborated with a view to developing the abovementioned aspects taking into
consideration different socio-cultural contexts, teachers' and pupils'
interests and the expectations of the educational community at large.
Familiarizing students with information and communication technologies is not sufficient. As an alternative, a number of strategies should be developed so
that student teachers, as future professionals, become aware of the need to
support, evaluate and disseminate the implementation of educational programs.

Abstract:
Nowadays, it is available a powerful educational tool for working formation. This tool is based on Educational Computer Science as a support for teachers and alumni dealing with teaching issues. The tool's flexibility makes possible its uses in some different ways; each one of them has associated some working characteristics and a way of using. All this kind of applications named "teacher's support" can be modified by the teacher. This fact allows both changes in their contents and an enhancement of then with the teacher's knowledge. As a conclusion, these tools allow structuring and storing the teacher's knowledge and providing some utilities for transmitting that knowledge to the alumni.
